  1. The moth is indeed a Riband Wave. I would strongly recommend the book I use, "Concise Guide to the Moths of Great Britain and Ireland" by Martin Townsend and Paul Waring. It has all the British macros in, all life size and drawn in the position that they typically rest in. Its about £12-13, and is in most bookshops and CLey visitors centre. There is a £30 version of it with more text and caterpillars, but the concise guide is more than adequate.
