On Sunday 27th April I spent a couple of hours on the patch, it was cold and quite windy once again and birds were once again quiet.
A Whitethroat was new on the Trimingham part of the patch.
Five Swallows and a few Sand Martins were around. Then a flock of 9 Whimbrel flew over a new year tick.
I walked through the Cliff top wood and a Marsh Tit was a new addition also. Then as I left the wood a Robin like bird flew along the outside edge. Although this was no Robin but a Redstart it flew along the hedgerow and out of sight.
Didn't see many other birds for the rest of the time but this Skylark gave a pose.
Later on the family and I headed to Foxley Wood and saw lots of flowers. Which I have had a go at trying to ID so if I'm wrong do let me know.

and of course......the Bluebells
Plants are correct but the ladybird is 7-spot rather than 6-spot, the seventh being the splodge at the top that crosses the wing-cases.
